Twilight Meadows

It came to no surprise that the Twilight Meadows were home to some of the most beautiful of plants to be found within Shengdao. The gentle breeze made the petals swing and sway in the wind and helped the butterflies dance upon the winds. The scent of the flora mingling together created a beautiful aromatic that could bring peace to the minds of those heavy with burden. The rolling hills littered with the colors from all assortment of petals that grew wild through the meadow was a sight to behold for anyone. 

Peace and tranquility rang true through these lands and if one ventured close enough to the tree lines they would find a simple table. Small cuts of natural honey could be seen laid out with a sign that read: ‘Please take one! Do be careful, if you look up you will find the hive that these delicious treats came from. Please be respectful and mindful, you are in the fields of their home.’

Upon looking up, one would find a massive hive. From the appearance, alone, it would seem as if it had been there forever! It covered the entire portion of the lowest hanging branch, climbing up into the leaves along the bark of the trunk. It was easy to see all of the little workers buzzing in and out of the hive, flying off into the Meadows and those that returned with their harvest. It was almost as frightening as it was beautiful, one could only wonder what might happen if the hive were to ever fall! Yet, with the way it encased the trunk and climbed through the tree, one could assume that its support was unfathomable. 

It wouldn't be too far out of the question to assume there were many hives, perhaps none as colossal as the one seen above that lone standing table… Yet, it stood to reason that there was something there that continued to pollinate the flowers of the Meadows! 

Some of the most extraordinary wild flowers can be found here. Some of which are even taller than Shiji! There is a bounty to be found waiting in the hills, and something of adventure that calls to those who simply love to wonder. It would be an easy task to lose oneself in the tranquility of the meadows. Particularly with the harmony of nature, it was almost as if the Twilight Meadows sang in a symphony of efforts between the flora and fauna. For all that there is to be found, here, it seemed that the beauty of these hills was left untouched. 

One thing was certain, the Twilight Meadows were a home for only those that sought after a quiet life. Something about it simply spoke of safety, like a wonderland of dreams and hope. Something like the fantastical imagery that only the imagination of children could bring such life to. The Meadows were a safe haven, welding all weary travelers into the depths of its serenity. Come, stay a while and let your troubles dance away on the winds like the petals floating in the breeze.
