Language

While a lot of Shiji-Long can speak quite a few languages through the influences of Earth, they do have their own language they frequently use. It is derived from the elder tongue, a language long since forgotten, spoken by only the elders who created them. All current elders usually use the newer version and it is very rare for them to slip back to their old tongue. Because of that it is also rare to find a Shiji who is able to understand their language.

The Shiji-Long still named their writing and speech after the gods, calling it 'the Gods' language. The runes found in the writing are copies and variations from the old texts and scriptures that were passed on for generations. All written things are written in these runes.
