Despite the fact that the Shiji-Long are able to travel by themselves and their inherited magic, they take great pride in the domestication of a lot of animals of Shengdao.

These animals are used for very different tasks. Some for protection, travel or weight carrying, others for food, comfort or companionship. While Shijis breed and keep those animals, they make sure that they have the best life they could. It means that the animals are not kept in small cages and are fed with the same food they would eat. Even those that are eaten, are treated with respect and care, with every part being used to not have the animal die in vain.

Domesticated animals for travel, protection and work
Most of these animals are used as mounts by Shiji-Long for different uses. Some species are used for work and carrying weights, some for easier and more comfortable traveling and some even as protective mounts for soldiers and guards.

A lot of these animals are especially bred to live in specific areas of Shengdao, so the cold of the mountains or the heat of the desert.
