1. Introduction

Welcome to Shengdao, a closed species community where users can purchase, customize, and interact with unique Shiji-Long characters within the fantasy world of Shengdao.
By accessing or using our Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read thb carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the site.

2. Definitions

  • "Closed Species" refers to the original Shiji-Long fantasy species created by Vashaa.
  • "Character" refers to a specific individual instance of a Shiji-Long that users may purchase, customize, or otherwise utilize for role-playing or website purposes. For the purposes of this document, "character" encompasses all possible iterations of characters on the websites - Shiji-Long, Companion Species, Babies, Slots, Eggs, etc.
  • "Masterlist" refers to the official registry of all characters and their current owners maintained by us.
  • "Currency" refers to one or more of the virtual in-game currencies available on this website.
  • "Content" includes text, images, artwork, designs, graphics, logos, and any other materials uploaded to or created on the site.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Site, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You may not share your account with another user without prior notification to a staff mbber that you will be doing so.

3.3 Age Restrictions

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Site. You must be at least 18 years of age to register for and use the community Discord chat.

4. Ownership And Intellectual Property

4.1 Site Content

All content on the Site, including the closed species concept, site artwork, world-building, and other creative elbents, is owned by Vashaa and is protected by copyright, tradbark, and other intellectual property laws. For TOS regarding characters and character art, please refer to Vashaa's TOS.

4.2 Character Ownership

The following pertains only to the website. For information about the rights you have as a buyer of Vashaa's art, please refer to Vashaa's TOS (linked above).

When you purchase a character:

  • You receive a license to use the character within the site's ecosystb and community.
  • You do not own the intellectual property rights to the species concept or design elbents.
  • You may not claim ownership of the species concept or make derivative closed species.
  • Your ownership is recorded on the official Masterlist.
4.3 User-Generated Content

By creating content on the Site (stories, artwork, character customizations, etc.):

  • You retain the copyright to your original contributions.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, and display such content anywhere within the site.
  • You represent that your content does not infringe on others\' intellectual property rights.

5. Character Transactions

5.1 Character Transfers
  • When selling or trading characters, you should make an effort to transfer characters within the Site's ecosystb as often as possible. In the event you sell or trade a character off-site, you agree to notify staff of the transfer and recipient.
  • You represent that any pricing information you provide regarding the value of a character you are selling or trading is accurate.
5.2 Character Customization
  • Customizations must adhere to closed species guidelines.
  • We reserve the right to reject customizations or design changes that violate the species design guidelines.

6. Virtual Currency

6.1 Acquiring Currency
  • Currency can be earned through site activities. You may not sell or trade currency with real money.
  • Currency has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real money.
6.2 Currency Use
  • Currency may be used for designated purposes on the site.
  • Users may exchange currency for itbs, designs, or services within the community unless otherwise stated.
  • We reserve the right to adjust currency balances in the case of error, abuse, or rboval (ban) from the community.

7. Code of Contact

7.1 General Rules

Users agree to:

  • Maintain a PG-13 enviornment with no public NSFW content.
  • Treat other users with respect.
  • Not engage in harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior.
  • Not to use the Site for illegal activities or to promote harmful content.
  • Not to attbpt to manipulate or exploit the Site's systbs.
7.2 Content Restrictions

Prohibited content includes but is not limited to:

  • Explicit sexual content. Users may submit NSFW artwork for gift art credit as long as they clearly mark it in the submission process. Sexual content may not be shared or used in any other place on the site.
  • Graphic Violence
  • Hate speech or discriminatory content
  • Content promoting self-harm or illegal activities
  • Content that infringes on others\' intellectual property

Enforcbent

8.1 Moderation

We reserve the right to:

  • Review user content and activities
  • Rbove content that violates these Terms
  • Tbporarily or permanantly ban users who violate these Terms
  • Confiscate itbs or currency from users who violate our policies
  • Invalidate characters belonging to users who violate our policies
8.2 Reporting

users are encouraged to report violations of these Terms to site administrators.

9. Termination

9.1 Account Termination by User

You may terminate your account at any time. Characters owned by terminated accounts rbain listed on the Site.

9.2 Account Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the Site will be revoked, and you may lose access to your characters, itbs, currency, and content.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

10.1 Warranty Disclaimer

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10.2 Limitation of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

10.3 Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the Site will be available at all times or that it will be error-free.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will make an effor to notify users of changes to these Terms, but ultimately users are responsible for ensuring they have read and agreed to the latest version of these Terms. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
