The temple is a testament to the spiritual beliefs of the inhabitants, and at its core, a colossal cherry blossom tree grows, its branches intertwining with the temple's architecture, symbolizing the harmonious balance of nature and civilization.

Some, but not all festivities that are held in Tianshu:
- Sun Bloom festival, celebrating the longest day of the year. 21th of June
- Leaves festival, celebrating the harvest season. Last two weeks of October
- Winter sun holiday, celebrating family and friendship. 3rd week of December.
- New years. 31th of December and 12th of January.
