Now 70 years into her fourth life cycle, Vashti mostly maintains a life of solitude studying the ancient arcane ruins in the Dark Woods of Shengdao, the Shiji homeworld. Her constant companions are her dark phoenix, Ihsan and a wayward phooka by the name of Ryota. She does count a few other Shiji as close friends or family, but is very comfortable in her own company. Though solitary, Vashti does make occasional excursions to much of the surrounding countryside, and is a well-known but aloof visitor to the Oasis Market and the City of Tianshu.
